- Welcome and Introductions
Barbara Atterberry came to discuss S.W.A.N.. The organization is 25
years. It is a networking group of business women in Skagit County. Every
year they chose the “Woman of the Year." That women must
be professionally working, serving their community, and living in Skagit
County. Scholarships
are given to women who are in graduate school for their master’s or
doctor’s degree.
- Treasurer’s Report: $1,343.34 in checking account
- Membership Report: 12 members
- Forums: Due to lack of help and the summer, we will be putting
on General Election forums only, no Primary Election forums. It was
decided to deal with the two winning candidates after the Primary.
- Programs: It was decided that a program would be put on in September. Dee
will be in touch with her group of Emergency Program for Skagit County
for the animal victims of a disaster.
- New Business: Project Homeless Connect_ 300 – 400 came last
year; it will be held on September 8 at Skagit Valley College. They
need volunteers so call Patti Santangelo for details.
