Grab your calendars and mark the following important dates.

October:
28th:

Amy Goodman Fund Raiser Amy Goodman, of “Democracy Now” will speak at McIntyre Hall in Mt. Vernon on Sat. Oct. 28 at 11 am.
This is a fundraiser for KVSR in Mt. Vernon, and KESR in Everett.

• Tickets should be purchased in advance from the McIntyre Hall box office at 416-7727.
• Doors open to the public and progressive groups will table starting at 10 a.m.
• Dana Lyons (cows with guns) performs at about 10:45 a.m. with Amy Goodman on the stage at McIntyre Hall at 11 a.m.
• Lunch available noon to 1 p.m- $5
• Workshops, including Get out the Vote, First Time Voters, and David Domke from 1-3 p.m.
• Scott’s Bookstore will be present, so you needn’t purchase Goodman’s book before Saturday.
• Call for a ticket ASAP and spread the word!
• Skagit League will have a table. Please come and join us.

30th:

• 7th - A public hearing on the Draft CAO will be heard before the MV Planning Commission on Nov. 7th at 7 p.m. The DEIS will be published on November 1st with the comment period ending December 1st.

The County Planning Commission will deliberate on 2005 GMA Update map amendment proposals after completing its work on policies and development regulations. Map deliberations will start November 2, 2006 and continue as needed.
