Study brings to members the knowledge that makes League action uniquely credible and respected. Study makes action possible. Studying an issue enables League to take a position on which action can be solidly based.

Program, Study, Position, Action

Writing and distributing well-researched reports on program issues is a study procedure used commonly in League. Preparing a study gives League members an opportunity to examine the facts and key arguments. In meetings, members are also encouraged to discuss the political realities of action and to contribute ideas for the LWVSC board to consider when it formulates an action strategy based on a League position statement.
