The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government. We work to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and to influence public policy through education and advocacy. Any citizen of voting age may become a League member.

The League of Women Voters of Tacoma-Pierce County has MEMBERS from the Gig Harbor peninsula to Eatonville and from Edgewood to Steilacoom. Our OFFICE is located in downtown Tacoma. We hold monthly UNIT MEETINGS to learn about and discuss topics of local, state or national governmental  interest or concern. We do not discuss political candidates or their campaigns. Unit meetings are held this year in East Pierce County, Lakewood and the North End of Tacoma. Several times each year a GENERAL MEETING, in a central location, substitutes for unit meetings. Visitors are always welcome at unit and general meetings.
