LWVWA Democracy Team Meeting

When: August 7 at 10:30 am (the meeting will also be recorded)

Where: Virtual, via Zoom

Join the LWVWA Democracy Team for an information and planning session. We are looking to strengthen our efforts in Washington and need your help!

As a critical part of the LWVWA Lobby Team, the Democracy team advocates on issues related to our representative democracy process: election methods, election law and procedure, initiatives, redistricting, government structure, money in politics, and local news & media literacy and advancing civic education.

Redistricting Reform Task Force (20 Aug 2025)

LWVWA is leading a multi-year, statewide campaign to reimagine and reform the Washington State redistricting process. In keeping with League positions and the current Protect Democracy campaign, LWVWA will plan and execute a campaign to reform the structure and procedures of the Washington State Redistricting Commission through a state constitutional amendment and statutory changes before the 2031 redistricting cycle.

All individuals and organizational representatives are invited to join us on the third Wednesday of each month for the Redistricting Reform Task Force meeting. Each month we strategize and implement the actions needed to achieve reform.
