Looking Back, Moving Forward
League of Women Voters of Washington
June 6-9, 2019
The League of Women Voters of Washington will convene its biennial Convention on Friday, June 7, 2019 (business plenary sessions begin at 9 a.m.) and end on Sunday, June 9, 2019 (12 noon). There will be a Pre-Convention Reception and Historical Event on the evening of Thursday, June 6, 2019. All activities and business will be in Tacoma, Washington, and hosted by the League of Women Voters of Tacoma-Pierce County.
The business of Convention will set the stage for the 2019-21 biennium and voting delegates will adopt the Program of Work, elect officers and board of directors, approve budget and by-law amendments. There will be workshops on League history, current and new League programming and League management.
More information on Convention Registration, hotel reservations, and additional Convention details will be continually added. The final business for Convention will be posted by April 26, 2019 (as per by-law requirement).
You do not need to be an official delegate of your Local League to attend the convention! As an Observer, you may attend all of the programming, the dinners, the social events and caucuses as an interested League Member, and if you have a great League prospect who is not yet a member, you can bring them, too.
Plan now to attend—Each local League may send their President and additional delegates as determined by your membership count that was finalized with LWVUS on Jan. 31. Anyone may attend as an observer.
Join us in Tacoma as we will be “Looking Back / Moving Forward”!
Full Registration: $240 (early bird registration); after May 15: $290
Full registration includes all plenary sessions, choice of all workshops, workshop materials, Friday dinner, Saturday lunch, and Saturday banquet. Delegates must choose Full Registration.
