The keynote speaker - Andy Nicholas, Senior Fellow at the Budget & Policy Center. He’s a budget policy analyst and will include in his presentation information about the relationship between unfair tax burdens on the poor and people of color being most heavily impacted by these and other policies.

Sen Emily Randall from the 26th LD will talk about making a difference through advocacy and lobbying for public policy that furthers LWV goals - and serving in public office.  Attendees will also hear from our Contract Lobbyists, Nancy Sapiro and Pam Crone, as well as LWVWA Issue Chairs.

For those who will be taking the ferry from Edmonds, the workshop schedule has been adjusted to accommodate the 8:50 a.m. sailing from Edmonds.  Workshop will start at 9:45 a.m.  Attendees may wish to consider parking in Edmonds and boarding the ferry as a walk-on.  The venue is three blocks from the ferry dock in Kingston.  Volunteers will be available to provide transportation for those who would like.  Workshop will end so that participants can catch the 3:10 ferry back to Edmonds.  See ferry schedule for more details fares. https://www.wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/scheduledetailbyroute.aspx?route=ed-king

Attendees who wish to walk-on to ferry and would desire a pick up at the Kingston Ferry Dock, please indicate in the accommodations box.
