League of Women Voters To Host Public "Meet and Greet" with local Candidates
The League of Women Voters of Yakima County will be hosting a public “Meet and Greet” event featuring candidates competing in the upcoming elections for the 14th District Senate Race, the 14th and 15th Legislative Districts, and the District 2 and 3 County Commission positions.

This event will take place on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Holiday Inn, located at 802 East Yakima Avenue, Yakima.

The "Meet and Greet" offers the public a unique opportunity to hear brief presentations from the candidates and engage with them one-on-one. It’s an excellent chance for community members to ask questions and learn more about their candidates' platforms and priorities.

Co-sponsors are Washington Conservation Action Education Fund, Native Vote Washington Education Fund, Latino Community Fund, NAACP – Yakima Branch, Asian Pacific Islander Coalition, Faith Action Network, and Between the Ridges: Alliance for the Common Good.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
