Walk the Line, Rock the Vote

  • 10 Oct 2026
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Yakima, WA

Join the LWV, APIC and NAACP of Yakima on Oct. 10 at 9 am for an in-person 2.2 mile walk along the 14th and 15th Legislative district lines in the heart of Yakima.

We are raising awareness for the importance of voting and the effect district lines have on our ability to elect candidates of our choice.

Why the 14LD and 15LD? These districts were the subject of the 2022 lawsuit Soto Palmer v Hobbs that declared the old 15LD lines discriminatory and successful redrew the district lines so that there would be a new Latino Opportunity District in LD14. The confusion around the changing district lines continues todays. Join us to walk the lines and get out the vote!

STARTS: Larson Park 1209 W Arlington Street Yakima, WA 98902 (maps and instructions) ENDS: OIC of Washington 815 Fruitville Boulevard Yakima WA 98902 (field off of Willow Ave)
